“I’m thirty-three. I’ve had some embarrassing moments and failures. I made a decently stupid comment to a congregant this past Sunday…Easter Sunday…my second Sunday as the pastor.”
I admire the honesty and vulnerability. I’m sure you will serve your congregation well.
Thank you, Howard. Your words are kind. Yes, that was a weak moment of mine the person I said this to was very gracious and kind. I experienced the kindness and graciousness of Jesus through her.
Thanks for sharing, David. This was really encouraging. I am thankful for all three of those men. I am praying for you and the transition to pastoring in a new place.
I love this so much! Thanks for sharing those stories. We forget that these "super hero's" of the faith were no different than us. They had failures and grew in obscurity too.
Wonderful reminders and valuable article. God bless you in your new role. You might enjoy an older book called They Found the Secret. It’s a collection of short stories about some believers who went before us. Very inspiring and encouraging.
Awesome article
Thanks, David. I'm looking forward to following your journey.
Such a great reminder of our calling and purpose.

No problem! Amen
